Our Story
About Us
The Strathleven Foundation is a registered charity, established in 2023 by Strathleven Regeneration CIC (SRCIC) to inherit funds generated from the sale of SRCIC’s land assets in the Lomondgate area of Dumbarton.
By collaborating with local groups and communities we have explored how our funding can have the most impact for the people of Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven.
Our Area of Benefit
Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven – the Foundation Area of Benefit - has a rich cultural, industrial, sporting and historical heritage.
Our initial focus was helping local charities and community groups through our Helping Hand grant. We have now closed this fund and going forward will focus on larger grants.
The Trustees are committed to funding projects and activities that show the ambition and advancement that were integral in our historical past.
We will publish details about our Inspiring Change Fund in the near future.
Our Team
Our Trustees are a dedicated group of people with close links to Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven.
Together with the rest of the Foundation team, they are committed to making sure the Strathleven Foundation makes a difference to the people and communities within our Area of Benefit.
